I have been lately considering to apply for an online certificate/course in Data Science and I have stumbled upon an interesting article discussing the need for well-defined programs offering a body of knowledge and skills, which are not entirely covered by traditional higher education courses. Although there are no established standards for a Data Science curriculum, there is a growing interest in putting together ad hoc theoretical and practical competences to prepare the Data Scientists of tomorrow.
